KIA ORA, I'M SUNNY
Future Marine Scientist

ABOUT ME
I am an environmental researcher, focusing on the preservation of New Zealand’s coastal and terrestrial ecosystems. My interest in marine science was established through early observation of the Hauraki Gulf’s marine biodiversity, which has since evolved into a professional practice of data analysis and field research.
My work sits at the intersection of soil and water science, biology, and the digital preservation of heritage sites. As a recipient of the Prime Minister’s Future Scientist Prize and the NIWA Outstanding Fresh Water Award, I am committed to developing evidence-based solutions for the complex ecological challenges facing New Zealand’s communities.
